Stafsjö’s WB, WB11 & WB14 knife gate valves offer superior flow characteristics and bi-directional zero leakage shut-off. It is suitable for fluids such as water, sludge, biomass, and light slurry.
Stafsjö’s WB, WB11 & WB14 knife gate valves offer superior flow characteristics and bi-directional zero leakage shut-off. It is suitable for fluids such as water, sludge, biomass, and light slurry.
The WB, WB11 & WB14 series are modularly designed and can easily be customized in materials, with actuators and related automation accessories to fit different process conditions. The WB11 is supplied with a robust one-piece valve body in nodular iron up to DN 300 (12″). From DN 350 up to DN 1600 (14″ – 64″) the WB series is used.
The WB14 is designed with a robust one-piece and fully lugged valve body in nodular iron up to DN 300 (12″) and from DN 350 (14″) it features a rigid two-piece design. The WB14 sealing system assures a first rate sealing, both internal and external against the surrounding environment.
The automated valve assemblies, come standard with proximity switch sockets to confirm the opening and the closing of the valve. The valve design also allows for magnetic limit switches mounting.
The WB & WB11 are available in sizes ranging from DN 50 – DN 1600 (2″ – 64″) and the WB14 series is available in sizes ranging from DN 50 – DN 600 (2″ – 24″).
The valves feature cavity free full bore with a seat at level with the bore to ensure minimal pressure drop and prevent any build up of media during operation. Gate guides support the gate through the entire range of travel and the perimeter resilient seat provides a tight shut-off independent of pressure direction. The steel reinforcement inside the seat makes it steady and enhances durability. Smooth cycling and a tight shut-off independent of valve position are achieved by the high strength top works that provide an essential alignment for the gate. It utilizes stainless steel tie rods encapsulated inside the structural beams. Stafsjö assembles stainless steel gate guards as standard on all automated valves.
Stafsjö also offers a high performing stainless steel version of the WB series, the WB14E.
