LP linear piston actuators are typically used to control the position of airflow regulating dampers, butterfly valves, and other similar process regulating devices on furnaces, boilers and air distribution systems. They are mostly used on boiler secondary air (windbox) dampers in NOx reduction control systems. The LP actuators are built on the honorable Bailey heritage and designed as a direct replacement for the older bailey actuators.
They are available with a wide range of seal materials to ensure long service life of the actuators.
The LP cylinder size ranges from 2-1/2″ (635mm) diameter x 5″ (127mm) stroke to 10″ (254mm) x 16″ (406.4mm) stroke.
The LP actuators can be paired with ABB AV series electro-pneumatic positioners and intelligent TZIDC or EDP300 positioners for precise control and advanced diagnostics. Different communication modules such as HART or Fieldbus are available with the intelligent positioners.
