Stafsjö HP and HPT Series Knife Gate Valves are high-pressure, through-going O-port valves engineered for bi-directional zero-leakage shut-off in highly concentrated media and static columns. Ideal for demanding industrial applications.
Stafsjö HP and HPT Series Knife Gate Valves are high-pressure, through-going O-port valves engineered for reliable bi-directional zero-leakage shut-off in demanding industrial applications. Designed to handle highly concentrated media and static columns, they operate at pressures up to 10 bar.
The HP Series is the standard high-pressure model, suitable for media such as pulp stock up to 18% consistency, liquor, ash, and granulates. The HPT Series, with wetted parts in Titanium and PTFE, is specifically designed for highly corrosive chemical environments.
Both series feature a modular design, allowing easy customization of materials, actuators, and automation accessories to meet specific process requirements. Available sizes range from DN 300–900 (12″–36″) for HP and DN 100–700 (4″–30″) for HPT.
The valves incorporate a rigid, precision-machined two-piece body with reinforced top works for accurate gate alignment. In the open position, the HP series provides an unobstructed flow path, preventing media buildup. The PTFE seats, protected by retainer rings and backed by internal O-rings, maintain constant pressure against the gate for a tight seal regardless of flow direction.
The gate is guided throughout the entire stroke, ensuring smooth operation even in challenging media. The gland box sealing system, with three layers of Stafsjö’s Twin-Pack, prevents media leakage to the surrounding environment. Retainer rings are mechanically locked and easily removable for quick seat replacement, minimizing maintenance downtime.
Standard automation assemblies include proximity switch sockets for open/close confirmation, with optional magnetic limit switch mounting available.
Stafsjö also offers two standard versions HG & HL Series for less demanding applications and the HX series for extreme high pressure applications up to 20 bar.
