Description

CIDRA’s SONARtrac Flow Monitoring System is a breakthrough in non-invasive flow measurement technology and utilizes patented array processing techniques to listen to, and interpret, pressure fields generated by pipe flows. This passive listening approach enables the SONARtrac flow monitoring system to measure single phase and multiphase flows as well as slurries, with the same level of accuracy and performance. By installing on existing process lines, SONARtrac clamp-on flow monitoring systems eliminate the process disruptions associated with installing other types of flow meters.

SONARtrac measurement systems do not utilize ultrasonics; they employ patented sonar array processing techniques to listen to, and interpret, flow turbulence and sound fields generated by the machinery, piping and process flow. This passive listening approach results in measurement of the flow rate and amount of entrained air with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability.
