The Neles scotch yoke N1 series actuator is designed for use with quarter turn valves in both modulating control and on-off service. The N1 actuator’s robust design ensures a long life in harsh environments due to unique features such as its internal tie-rod mechanism. This heavy duty actuator has all major approvals to meet industry standards and customer process requirements.

The N1 series is availaible in either spring return or double acting configurations.
The scotch yoke u-shaped torque curve makes it suitable for on/off or ESD applications of large size valves. It can deliver the massive torque output necessary to unseat or seat a large size valve. The N1 series can deliver up to 311333 Nm / 229627 lb ft torque at 58 psi on the double acting model. For the spring return model, the actuator can output 147425 Nm / 108735 lb ft on the spring side and 218765 Nm / 161353 lb ft on the air side at 58 psi.
