Neles™ cage guided balanced globe valves GB/AB series offer excellent control performance and high reliability in a variety of applications. They are made to be accurate, precise, and reliable in both regular and demanding services. They can be found working for a variety of customers in the oil and gas, chemical, and petrochemical sectors, as well as in power plants and pulp and paper mills.
With its extensive array of trim and body materials, trim design and CV per body size the GB/AB series can virtually fit in any application. The rugged 1 piece body minimizes potential leak paths of the valve. The overall design of the Neles™ balanced globe valve allows the trim and seat maintenance to be easily performed in-line via the top of the valve. The valve conforms to ANSI/FCI 70-2 Class IV / V for metal seat and Class V for soft seat. They can either be used for FTC (flow to close) or FTO (flow to open) applications.
The AB series was designed for high velocity and high-pressure drop applications. The AB series angle body design provides the valve with an internal flow path to handle the noise caused by flashing fluids. For additional noise reduction, the AB/GB series can be coupled with a tendril trim. This multi-hole trim is ideal for cavitation abatement and fluid noise control. It is usually used on high-pressure drop applications where the AB series standard trim and body design needs a little boost.
