Description

Neles™ Finetrol™ Eccentric Rotary Plug Valves

Valmet’s Neles™ eccentric rotary plug valves, including the Finetrol™ series FC and FG, are engineered for precise flow control in demanding industrial applications. These valves combine the benefits of rotary motion with the control accuracy of globe valves, offering a robust solution for handling liquids, gases, vapors, and slurries—even in harsh and dirty process conditions.

Key Features

  • Eccentric plug design ensures smooth, stable control over the full 90° rotation.
  • Q-Trim™ attenuator for noise reduction and anti-cavitation, self-flushing and suitable for impure fluids.
  • Heavy-duty construction with anti-blowout shaft and fire-safe certification (API 607).
  • Live-loaded rotary packing for long-lasting fugitive emission control (ISO 15848).
  • Certified to SIL 3 for safety-critical applications (IEC 61508).
  • Versatile mounting orientations and wide temperature range: –200 °C to +450 °C.

Performance Benefits

  • Excellent control accuracy and wide rangeability.
  • Low maintenance costs due to rugged design and easy seat removal.
  • Reduced dynamic torque, improving actuator efficiency and valve responsiveness.
  • Environmental compliance with low emissions and clean air certifications.

Technical Specifications

  • Size range: DN 25–300 (1″–12″)
  • Pressure ratings: PN 10–100 / ASME Class 150–600
  • Face-to-face dimensions: IEC 60534-3-2 / ISA 75.08.02
  • Tightness classes: ANSI/FCI 70-2 Class IV (metal seat) and Class VI (soft seat)

Applications

  • Refining and petrochemicals
  • Chemical processing
  • Natural gas
  • Fertilizer production
  • Power generation

These valves are ideal for severe service conditions, including erosive, dirty, and high-pressure drop environments. Their balanced plug design and modular trim options make them a preferred choice for control applications where reliability, safety, and performance are critical.
