Description

Unlike traditional guided-wave radars that use device parameters requiring multiple adjustments, the LWT300 series of instruments does it for you. The instrument uses LevelExpert™, a built-in intelligence to differentiate between the actual level and other false signals.

LevelExpert concentrates 20 years of industrial level measurement experience into an intelligent instrument made to accurately detect levels, even in the most demanding conditions. Forget about baseline mapping and echo selection; LevelExpert knows how to find the right level through the clutter. The expert is now inside your guided-wave radar.

The LWT300 series is comprised of the LWT310 and LWT320.

LWT310 for liquids applications

The LWT310 fits in a 19 mm (3/4 in) NPT interface and is offered in a flanged version.

LWT320 for solids applications

The LWT320 fits in a 38 mm (1 1/2 in) NPT interface and is offered in a flanged version.
For solids applications, the LWT320 is recommended since it can withstand a higher pull force.

A very effective technology for solids, liquids and interface measurements. Guided wave radar’s self-monitoring capability continually checks for any faults that could cause device failures or false indications. The LWT300 series features a graphic display incorporated into an all digital electronics module.

Using this new format ABB has been able to add waveform screens to the modular electronics along with easy to follow multiple choice setup menus. These menus can be changed to many different languages for easy commissioning throughout the world. Pulses of microwave energy are directed to the product surface using a rigid rod or flexible cable type probe. This assembly has no moving parts and no loss of energy due to beam divergence.
