The Gestra's CW cooling-water control valve or Gestramat is designed to reduce the cooling-water flow to a minimum and keep discharge temperature to a maximum. This will maximize your energy efficiency while reducing your water cost. The Gestramat is self-acting and senses the discharge temperature with its proportional regulator.

CW cooling-water control valves ensure the cooling water or solution in cooling circuits absorbs the heat that is to be discharged up to the set or maximum possible discharge temperature. Enabling the cooling water or solution to take on an optimum amount of heat dramatically reduces consumption. The discharge temperature is sensed by the integral regulator, the valve does not open unless the preset discharge temperature is reached. In larger networks with several parallel heat exchangers, the avoidance of short circuits improves coolant distribution. In most cases where customers have integrated a Gestramat in their cooling system, water consumption has been reduced up to 72.4%, and pump energy savings reached 46.2%. With these savings, our customers were able to pay back the purchase price of their CW within a few days up to 3 months!
