Draeger REGARD 3000 Gas Detection Controllers

When hazardous gases or vapors threaten your plant, your team cannot afford to spend critical moments decoding complex control panels or hunting down remote transmitters. You need instant, unmistakable clarity.

The Draeger REGARD 3000 is a highly compact, modular gas detection controller designed to bridge the gap between complex field instrumentation and human situational awareness. Supporting up to four analog channels, this SIL 2 capable control system provides a single, centralized hub to monitor toxic gases, combustible gases, and oxygen levels, keeping your workforce protected and your operations compliant.

Instant Visibility When Every Second Counts

The standout feature of the REGARD 3000 is its striking, 360 degree multicolored LED status ring. Encasing the outer perimeter of the unit, this visual indicator is designed to be seen clearly from a distance, long before an operator even reaches the screen.

  • Blue: Normal operation. Everything is running smoothly.

  • Yellow: A system malfunction or fault requires attention.

  • Flashing Red: An active gas alarm is occurring. Immediate action is required.

  • Continuous Red: The gas alarm has been acknowledged, but the hazard is still present.

Paired with an integrated piezo horn pushing greater than 85 dB at one meter, the REGARD 3000 ensures that no alarm goes unnoticed, regardless of ambient plant noise. Daily safety checks become as simple as walking past the panel.

Centralized Diagnostics via 4-20 mA HART

Industrial gas transmitters are frequently mounted in tight, dangerous, or hard to reach locations. This creates a massive bottleneck when troubleshooting a fault or verifying a calibration.

The REGARD 3000 solves this logistical challenge with its specialized 4-20 mA HART input module. This setup grants full, centralized access to all field transmitter configurations and diagnostic data straight from the controller’s intuitive 7 inch high definition touchscreen interface. Plant operators can read out error logs, adjust parameters, and diagnose maintenance needs without deploying a technician with a handheld communicator into a hazardous zone.

Scalable and Future Ready Control

Operations evolve, and your safety infrastructure needs to keep pace. The REGARD 3000 features a highly efficient three slot architecture designed to expand alongside your plant without forcing costly, extended downtime. The system can be easily customized in the field by combining three dedicated modules:

  • Input Module: Connects up to 4 analog or HART enabled transmitters (2 or 3 wire).

  • Relay Module: Adds up to 8 configurable SPDT relays to drive external beacons, exhaust fans, or emergency shutoff valves, utilizing custom voting logic.

  • Gateway Module: Integrates seamlessly into your overarching plant DCS via Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP/IP for site wide data transmission.

For larger facilities utilizing the advanced Dräger REGARD 7000, the REGARD 3000 seamlessly transitions into a satellite docking station. This allows for centralized oversight of multiple regional control hubs from one master dashboard.

Versatile Mounting for Any Environment

Whether optimizing space inside a main control room or installing local protection on a processing floor, the REGARD 3000 adapts to your infrastructure. It can be ordered in a rugged, IP65 rated standalone wall mount enclosure or split for panel mounting, allowing the docking station to sit protected inside an electrical cabinet while the bright touchscreen operating unit mounts flush into the cabinet door.

Protect your people, secure your uptime, and eliminate the guesswork from gas detection with the Dräger REGARD 3000.
