Description

Neles™ R-series V-port segment valve is a cost-effective high performance control valve designed for liquid, gas, vapor, and slurry control applications – especially with high capacity and wide rangeability requirements. R-series offers lightweight, low torque control valves from 1″ low capacity models up to 32″.

A trunnion-mounted segment rotary control valve with spring-loaded metal seats, the R-Series has a one-piece body that eliminates the effects of piping forces and the risk of joint leakage. The segment itself is contoured to give optimum flow characteristics along with high rangeability and very high flow capacity.

Standard units are assembled with either QPX series diaphragm actuators or B1 series cylinder actuators and ND9000 intelligent valve positioners for reliable and precise control.

Special application variations

The Neles™ R2-series is a specially designed variation of the R-Series segmented V-port valve for medium pulp consistency applications.

Basis weight control is one of the most critical applications for a valve in a paper machine and NelesAce™ basis weight control valve was specifically built for it.
