Pierre Schmidt is an experienced specialist in steam and condensate systems, with four decades of rich industry experience. Recently retired after eight years at GESTRA as the North American General Manager, Pierre continues to enjoy sharing his vast knowledge and insights.

He honed his knowledge on ships (Canadian Coast Guard licensed marine engineer for steam and motor vessels) and from his previous 30 years at Spirax Sarco in Canada and the USA where he held multiple technical and management positions. He’s known as an esteemed presenter and a “go-to” resource for professionals looking to deepen their steam management expertise and to troubleshoot problems. He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Technical Management.

Pierre’s unwavering dedication to advancing steam management practices makes him an invaluable mentor and a respected thought leader in the field. His passion for steam is unmatched, making him the perfect guide for anyone looking to master the complexities of steam systems.
